Delete your GlowRead account or data
This page explains how GlowRead users can delete their account, request deletion of personal data, or remove individual uploaded documents without closing their account.
Delete your account in the app
- Open GlowRead and sign in.
- Open Profile or Settings.
- Select Delete account.
- Review the warning and confirm the deletion.
Account deletion is permanent. It removes your GlowRead account and associated data from our active systems, including account identifiers, uploaded content, generated narration files and timing data, reading progress, and app preferences.
Request deletion without using the app
Email support@glowread.app from the email address associated with your GlowRead account. State whether you want us to delete your entire account or only specific data. We may ask you to verify account ownership before processing the request.
Delete individual uploaded content
You do not need to delete your account to remove an uploaded document. In GlowRead, open My Books or Library, open the uploaded item, and choose Delete. You may also contact support@glowread.app and identify the specific uploaded content or personal data you want removed.
Retention after deletion
Deleted account data and user content are removed from active systems and are no longer accessible through the app. Residual copies in encrypted backups or operational logs are purged within 30 days and remain protected until purged. We may retain limited transaction, security, or legal records when required by law or reasonably necessary to prevent fraud, resolve billing disputes, or demonstrate compliance. Google Cloud audit records may be retained for up to 400 days. Apple, Google, and RevenueCat retain store transaction records under their own legal and operational requirements.
